Testing on a tweaked prototype performed above expectations and exceeds design goals; a production model is being fabricated now to produce a demonstration video/be subjected to testing-to-failure. This test is scheduled for the end of March.
Production model isn't going to be identical to this version, so if it does not perform as expected the release date may be delayed, but /if/ all goes well, early to mid April is realistic.
Testing was unsatisfactory, and improvements need to be made before a final design will be available for sale. The prototype successfully shattered the penetrator core of M2AP Ball @2850fps, but the backing panel didn't perform to expectations, a revised design is scheduled for testing in early March.
First testable prototype is sitting on a drying rack in the workshop waiting on our next day out for testing. This is the first live fire prototype for level 4 armor from us, research into existing designs gives us great confidence it will meet spec- but that's when the real work begins of trimming every ounce and dollar we can off the final design without compromising the armor function.
